Don’t miss Selangor Pavilion at PBAKL 2024

Make sure you stop by the Selangor Pavilion when you visit the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL) 2024 which goes on from May 24 to June 2.

The Selangor Pavilion is located at Level 3 Concourse of the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), the venue for the PBAKL.

The idea behind Selangor Pavilion is to allow visitors to be aware of the numerous #KitaSelangor initiatives which are in place to help them.

These initiatives are in sync with the state’s ‘No One Left Behind’ concept in moving towards Selangor Maju 2025.

The Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) will be the secretariat for the Selangor Pavilion which will have many state agencies, state subsidiaries and NGOs.

The Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated is among the main agencies involved where visitors can find out more about the state’s role and initiatives on social responsibility & environmental sustainability.

For those wanting to know about education initiatives on offer, there are helpful staff from the Selangor Education Committee, Yayasan Selangor, Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) and Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC).

For visitors keen on housing and real estate, drop by at the kiosks by Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), Selangor State Investment Corporation (PNSB), Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) and Worldwide Holdings Berhad.

Upcoming entrepreneurs, you are not forgotten as well – head to the Yayasan Hijrah Selangor booth to discover all entrepreneurship initiatives and programmes on offer for you.

Tourism Selangor and Malay Customs and Heritage of Selangor (PADAT) will also be present to give you details on programmes that they have based on tourism and culture.

If you are keen on finding out about what is available under environmental sustainability categories, fret not. There are people from KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd to guide you.

Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (YAWAS) meanwhile, as part of its social responsibility platform, will be giving out information and guidance on the numerous schemes designed for the people of Selangor from all walks of life and needs.

And if your thing is related to youth and sports development, make sure you have a friendly chat with the Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and Selangor FC teams.

The Selangor government under the leadership of Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari wants to show you that it is committed to developing the state while fulfilling its responsibilities to the people of Selangor.

It is with this in mind, the Menteri Besar has mooted many initiatives that can improve the quality of life as well as developing the socio-economy and education.

This is in line with the vision of the Selangor state government to make Selangor a Smart State in ASEAN by 2025.

The initiatives include exemptions for low-cost rental house property tax, agricultural incentives, special mosque officer incentives and emergency preparedness measures.

The Selangor Pavilion at the PBAKL will offer visitors further details and access to information about all initiatives under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang concept, including Rumah Idaman, Rumah Selangorku, Platform Selangor (PLATS), Skim Insuran Am Selangor (INSAN), Bantuan Asas Yuran Universiti (BAYU), Skim Usahawan Hijrah and Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE).
