This building contains six floors and has an area of 102,545 square feet where 40,420 square feet is the reading room which is estimated to accommodate more than 1,000 readers at a time. The shelves can accommodate 250,000 books.

The Raja Tun Uda Library is a State Library which is also the headquarters of the Selangor Public Library Corporation.
